Building new programmes with governments
and partner organisations
The Varkey Foundation collaborates with governments and organizations worldwide to implement programs that enhance educational standards and teacher effectiveness. These initiatives include teacher training, education technology, girls' education, and refugee education. By utilizing satellite technology, distance learning, and interactive methods, the foundation aims to reach underserved and remote communities, ensuring quality education for all. To date, their efforts have impacted over 46,000 teachers and 1.6 million children globally, promoting better learning outcomes and increased access to education.
Every child deserves a good teacher. We support teachers around the world to drive up educational standards and improve access learning for students, no matter their location or circumstances.
Through our programmes we aim to learn from and spread best practice around the globe, from initial teacher training to leadership. We help to reach remote, underprivileged and displaced children, improving access to education for some of the hardest to reach communities.
To date, our programmes have trained
46,000 teachers in 3,000 schools around the world, reaching more than 1.6 million children.
